CHAIR YOGA- CHOGA!Weekly on Thursdays beginning April 2021 11am to noon (on Zoom) What will we do? Let's begin by doing some seated cleansing practices that will open the blockages in the body. We'll continue with some gentle seated yoga flows. We shall finish our session with a brief seated meditation. THINGS TO HAVE FOR CHOGA: •a chair with no arms so your feet are flat on the ground •yoga blocks (can buy them anywhere like CVS); thick books work well, too. •a quiet place to practice •leave all your judgement at the door! Soma Flows is a combination of some of the following... •relaxing energy techniques you will learn to use in your every day life •body flows/movement flows standing •gentle yoga standing and on floor •seated meditation •savasana (lying down relaxation) THINGS TO HAVE HANDY F0R SOMA FLOWS: a quiet, undisturbed space to practice, a folding chair nearby with no armrest, a yoga mat if you have one, 2 same size yoga blocks or 2 thick books, a yoga bolster (oval one is the best) and/or some blankets to roll up; eye mask for savasana (rest period) if you want one! |
