About Michelle
There are three archetypes that I fully embody:
Teacher: From an early age, the oldest of four, I learned to put my feminine powers to good use! I have spent more than three decades in the classroom, nationally and internationally, and have cultivated my teaching presence in the healing movement revolution, as well. As much as I teach, I always learn way more from my students. I can’t imagine my life without teaching!
Dancer: Dance has nourished me from a young age starting with my childhood classes with my angel teacher, Miss Janet, and continuing to this very day. I make it a daily requirement to move my sacred vessel in some way be it in a walk, a dance, a yoga flow, some qigong...whatever lifts my spirit. The body is wise and can teach us so much. I adore opening spaces and places for others to feel all the feels of the body, mind, spirit.
Mother: I was born to birth and create. Birth my 3 children. Birth thinkers, learners, doers in my students. Birth big projects. I am called to be in service to the Divine Feminine in the quotidian…be it at home with my DNA family or working within humanity at large. And I feel blessed to be able to share all of these small and large experiences with the world. Also, I was birthed on the feast day of Joan of Arc, a warrior of light who had a steel like faith in herself and in her mission. I feel her strength in me!
My spiritual roots are in Catholicism and I attended Catholic schools and an all women’s Catholic college. Deep in my heart, however, I always longed to be part of a christianity that was more inclusive…a christianity that perhaps hasn’t been practiced yet. I always felt like something was missing…the feminine dimension of christianity. I have a devotion to Mary Magdalene & Jesus who guide me throughout my trials and tribulations as well as my joys and to our loving Mother Mary who guides me daily. My faith has cloaked me in love and has always provided me with steadfast direction.
I resonate deeply with religious iconography and with the imaginal sacraments that created curiosity and wonderment for me as a child and more recently am reveling in the sacred, mystical love of Jesus and Mary Magdalene of which few have spoken until her gospel came to print in the 1950’s and whose teachings have not yet found a way into mainstream christianity. Lastly, Christ’s tenets of social justice in our world will forever be emblazoned into my heart. I have deep love and respect for the wisdom of all spiritual traditions and see them intertwined in the fabric of our world.
The teacher/scholar in me led to my in-depth studies of the French language, culture and history which guided me to discover dozens of glorious churches, cathedrals and basilicas on the sacred grounds of L’Hexagone (France) and later to explore Francophone Africa. I love these sacred spaces! I have also studied the fine arts of life coaching, hypnotherapy, reiki and Qigong and the sacred art of Yoga and am certified in all. My most recent tool acquired is that of the feminine form study of Ayurveda with The Shakti School, Level 1. I am now an Ayurvedic Wellness Coach,
The creative dreamer in me took hold at a young age when I began my study of dance and movement with a beloved teacher. From traditional dancing school to African dance under a raffia hut to my in-depth study of the radical healing system of love called Biodanza, I have been graced and blessed with the sacred wisdom of the body, mind & spirit and called to facilitate that awareness to other through a variety of different modalities.
It is my adventurous, pioneer mothering heart and willingness to take risks in life which led me to take a huge leap and move to Benin, West Africa on a pilot program Fulbright scholarship in 1995 where I subsequently met and married my love and we began our family. In all, our combined destinies touched down in Benin, Uganda, South Africa welcoming a child in each! We completed our journey on this continent in beautiful Zambia. To say that spirit began to knock at my door loudly during these fourteen years is an understatement. It is what has led me to my current life, my thoughts about life and love and God, and to the essence of my being on this planet.
I believe more than ever that spiritual life is here and now, in the midst of the quotidian, not somewhere out there in the ethers or on a mountain top…that all life is sacred….all work is sacred…all moments are sacred.
None of us are guaranteed a tomorrow, so we must reap the joy and benefits of the Now.
I have created Life Dance Me coaching and wellness out of a desire to create a space (at times brick and mortar, currently virtual) where others can find a space for deep inner work, a space that will help lift the veils that shield you whether by using intuitive life coaching, Biodanza healing, Ayurvedic wellness, Qigong or Yoga somatics or Hypnosis healing. My intention is to offer an energetic space where you can encounter your own great sources of introspection, of creativity and vitality and most importantly, an affectivity for life.
I am committed to contemplative living and embrace a daily meditation / movement practice. Most days you can find me praying and meditating in my home studio, reading about the history of the divine feminine and the Christ and his early christian teachings, life coaching, writing, preparing to teach and/or teaching one of my modalities. I spend a lot of time with my growing children, husband and dog as well as connecting with friends. I listen to fabulous music in constant search of “that” song for my classes and I drink a lot of South African JOKO tea!

I BELIEVE IN THE REVOLUTION OF LOVE!
I am here on this planet to be of service, to learn love, to teach love and to help others find it in themselves by offering an evolution of the consciousness through my teaching gifts. We are currently experiencing an apocryphal moment in history that demands a personal and interpersonal spiritual work. It harkens back to the Christ’s original mission 2000 years ago.
One of my greatest teachers, Rolando Toro Araneda said “The only revolution that makes sense is the one that would enable all human beings to have access to love.”
I believe this to be true.
I BELIEVE IN RADICAL FORGIVENESS!
Forgiveness is the key to happiness. I believe that when we tend to the mind, body and spirit by using movement and thought work to rewrite one’s programming we free ourselves from the chains that bind the mind and we become capable of letting go of our perceptions and fears. Love, joy and vitality are at the end of that rainbow. The power of forgiveness will set your life free!
I BELIEVE BIODANZA CAN HEAL THE WORLD!
One of my students once gave me an end of the school year award stating that I would be most likely to save the world by teaching Biodanza. I think she was right! Biodanza is a system of radical love and acceptance learned on the dance floor in community with self, the other and the universe at large. The essence is to love and to be loved…beautiful affectivity…and to BE THE CHANGE…not only on the dance floor, but bringing it home and into the universe. This is why practicing Biodanza is a transformative act of love for oneself and the world.
I BELIEVE THAT LIFE IS AN UNFOLDING JOURNEY
And when we can adopt an attitude of flow in the body, mind & spirit we can really become more resilient to life’s challenges.
I have led the pilgrim’s path, from Connecticut through Africa and back to the USA with many trips in between. My pilgrimages have exposed me to humble encounters with strangers world-wide and an accumulation of truly amazing life experiences from founding an orphan school to dancing hospice caretakers to supervising teens for various school clubs. And my journey is not yet over. Nor is yours.
Our world is currently at the crossroads of an EVOLUTIONARY MOVEMENT and I invite you into contemplation of a way of living your right life so that you can participate in and elevate your own spiritual evolution. The divine feminine is piercing humanity right now and calling in all of the light warriors who wish to make a change in our world. Are you ready?
I INVITE YOU!
