What is it?
What exactly is the mind•body•emotion connection?
It is that elusive link to our bodies that enables us to stay healthy and grounded to reality and something that many of us ignore during our lives. For example, you have a bad back, or a frozen shoulder, constant headaches or bad knees.
Sure, sometimes you've just fallen and indeed have a banged up body part that is structurally misaligned, but mostly our body ailments are directly linked to our buried emotions especially the dreaded weight issues.
Or maybe you've been told repeatedly that your bodily challenges are merely psychosomatic, not real, and the doctor sends you home with some ibuprofen. Poppycock!
Know that your thoughts, feelings and beliefs can and will produce physiological effects upon your body depending on whether these thoughts, feelings and beliefs are positive and life affirming or negative and infectious.
If constantly bombarded by the latter, your "dis-ease" will eventually rear it's ugly head in your body as "disease" if not addressed. Don't let that happen! A medical doctor may not know how to extricate you from the emotional tangle directly influencing your body issues...a life coach does.
Why is it so important to act on the mind•body•emotion connection?
By addressing the mind/body and emotional connection to any of your discomforts, you will become more aware of the "why" it exists, be more able to connect to the buried issue(s) and let go.
My wholehearted approach will be for you to participate more in your personal wellness, and not your dis-ease; to be proactive and figure out the root cause of your challenges.
You will be able to unblock troubled areas in your body, creating internal shifts for better health flow which will undoubtedly create more JOY in your life. And don't we all want that?
This outcome can be accomplished with combined talk and/or Life Dance movement techniques that we will explore together over time. And, like anything worth doing in life, it's a process to embrace.
“Life is the dancer and you are the dance.”
